He broke the guild code to protect Grogu from the Empire remnant client.

Season 1 ends with Moff Gideon attacking; Dark Troopers; the Child rescued; Din's identity creed tested.

S1 is a quest-of-the-week that becomes parental. The Covert is shattered; the razor crest is damaged but flying.

Gideon knows more about Mandalorians and the Child than Din likes. The darksaber tease and Imperial science hang in the air without resolving S2 plots.
